    Magic leap disabled their comments on latest video because i am still waiting for them to unbrick the ML1, why I can just use the device why did you block it that is such bad move, you will never be successful why those choices and i will always be here making sure everyone knows in all your videos. I always screen record this comments to show everyone how you block people for asking access to device they paid and you block your users from using it.

    Anyone remembers how they promised truly revolutionary Laser Scanning Display technology, but in fact they never had it working? They've since tried to make us forget the hundreds of billions of dollars of investor money wasted on an idea they had no ability to produce. What they offer now is so low-tech in comparison to what they hyped everyone with that it's really laughable...

      Probably about $8 billion, but nowhere near hundreds of billions. The Fiber Scanning Display technology, was in fact invented, but because of how hard and how expensive it was to replicate, it will probably never see the light of day, at least with current technology.

    The criticism in these comments is a bit too typical of XR enthusiasts not working in B2B, not seeing how long it actually takes for people in industrial settings to come to terms with new technology. Let alone the time it can take to update critical systems to even be compatible with IoT-connected initiatives. That kind of condescending attitude really shows not just a lack of enterprise experience but ignorance to the reality of how tech is deployed in industry. The company I work for launched a VR training product in 2018. It was the first of its kind in the industry and won some pretty big awards for innovation (Fast Company's Top 10 Companies in AR/VR). But in reality, it took forever to catch on. People didn't understand the technology and were apprehensive to try it. We've even had big consulting firms work with us on AR solutions around the same time and no one wanted to adopt it. It was too early for them, for many reasons. Nowadays, in a world where the likes of Apple have shown serious interest in XR and the Meta Quest is becoming a household name, people are really starting to catch on. Because they're seeing it as normal. Hell, people think that floating windows are magical. Those of us who work in the industry know it's old news and that this technology is capable of MUCH more, but it doesn't ultimately matter what is old or new to us technologists; PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO WANT TO USE THIS TECHNOLOGY FFS. Shouldn't we be happy about that? Smh.

      There are a lot of reasons why someone may not want to use a controller. For example, when in environments where you're using your hands in view of the device but don't want to risk and accidental gesture triggering an action. But the Magic Leap 2 is also fully capable of hand tracking, so I'm not sure what the point of your comment is.

    • @starkoff71
      @starkoff71 5 месяцев назад

      Comparing a see-through device (ML2) with a video-streaming device (APV) is apples vs. oranges. Comparing with HoloLens makes more sense, but HoloLens 2 has a much smaller field of view and not as bright (can't use outdoors). Regarding gestures - business world needs 100% reliability and controllers still beat hand gestures in that area. But for consumer devices - yes, that's cooler.

      lmao, no. - First Sora isn't available to general public/commercial usage, only currently in testing and for testers - 2nd when it is available, will likely include or need to include watermark or disclaimer (whenever graphics show up on screen, note the "digital content is simulated" disclaimer, something similar would likely be needed for a commercial project

It will be a blow to the company's credibility with consumers if these expensive devices purchased could be killed within 4 years just because it's EOL. Even if we can use it as a browser or display is better than killing all functionality. 😢😢 I still believe in this company

  • @losav96
    @losav96 7 месяцев назад

    The concept is good, but everytime we have a product that doesn't work. It should help every person in their daily lives, not only business. It should not be expensive like the Vision Pro. And be, in someway, different from the mobile phone. Whenever the task can be easily accomplished by the phone, something is wrong and must be revisited. For example Rabbit AI 1 is a cool tech, but everyone in the comment says: this can be accomplished by latest phones and with an app on the store. That's totally true. I prefer still using my phone and pay maybe a monthlt/yearly subscription to the app service. When the Mixed Reality becomes so natural for the eyes and for the brain, and can enhance (for real) our daily lives, that will be revolutionary, and AI can surely bring that, along with hypotetical smart-glasses. Bringing in real life furnitures, shoes, etc. size 1:1 to test if they can fit. Augmenting your work experience with extra monitors, widgets, etc. Holographic map while driving. Opening the fridge and telling me what's missing and asking me to buy stuff via Amazon Fresh or something. And all orher stuff, enhanced with AI. These things can be accomplished with a mobile phone and camera? Yes, but some of them can be done better with this hypotetical smart-glasses, especially if the feeling is totally natural as I already said. I'm a developer since years, so I'm not a random angry dude ranting in your comment section. I'm someone trying to give advice, hoping to see a winning product one day.

    Practical examples are accepted, but what people or companies create the content that is displayed? Someone has to make those graphics, someone has to create all the content that is displayed. There is the big question!
